Some dates for your diary...

Posted by Milton Keynes Bolts at Feb 8, 2016 11:29AM PST ( 0 Comments )

In light of the team setup moving at a much faster pace than we could have imagined, the committee have decided to bring the official startup date forward to 1st April, with the first MK Bolts training session being Tuesday 5th April.

With the professional ice hockey season concluding the week before, this is the perfect time to start as there is a great chance that we will be moved to an earlier summer training time this week too, this is still to be confirmed.

We have also confirmed that the first Annual Members Meeting will take place at 21:00 on 22nd March. It will take place in the VIP area of the bar at planet ice. It is important that as many members are present for this meeting as possible as there are some key votes that will need to take place.

On 1st March we will open the voting for the ‘player voted’ captain, every full member of the club will have one vote and if you would like to be considered please can you email Andy.cs@mkbolts.co.uk with a brief explanation of why you are right for the job. The captain will be announced at the Annual Members Meeting.

We will forward the bank account number and sort code as soon as they are confirmed, so that every member can set their standing order up for 1st April.

There will also be an email going out in the next week regarding EIHA registration as this will have to be in place before 1st April.

Once again can we thank all members, without you this would be happening. Really looking forward to getting on the ice in Bolts colours.

We would like to thank two-d Photography and MK Diagnostics for sponsoring us, the help is greatly appreciated. Further sponsorship opportunities are available, please contact Andy.cs@mk-bolts.co.uk for more details.

The shirts will follow the club colour scheme of yellow and blue, this colour scheme will be replicated across the full range of merchandise which will include jackets, polo shirts, hoodies and t shirts, these will available soon.

A Progress update

Posted by Milton Keynes Bolts at Feb 2, 2016 9:34AM PST ( 0 Comments )

Dear All,

Little bit of an update for you.

As you are aware the committee have been working very hard in the background to make The Bolts a reality. First of all many thanks to all those that have paid their membership fee and are a part of what we are building, without you it would quite simply be pointless.

Although there are a few things still to be finalised, we feel that we are much further along schedule than we expected. As a result we should hopefully be in position to bring the official startup date forward, the exact date is yet to be decided, however it could be as early as April or May. We will keep you informed of the exact date as soon as we are in a position to make it a certainty.

Once confirmed, all members will need to have their standing order in place along with a valid EIHA registration before taking to the ice. We will be sorting out all the EIHA registrations before then, the costs for this are listed in the members section of our website, www.mkbolts.co.uk, you will need to log in to view the members area.

We are aiming to have the first Annual Members Meeting towards the end of March, again the exact date will be announced as soon as the venue is finalised, this is only open to members and will need at least 50% of members to be present.

The Milton Keynes Bolts Constitution is now finalised and agreed by all the committee members, this will be available for all members to view in the next couple of days, again in the members section of the website.

We are also very close to having a finalised shirt, shorts and socks design, we will be revieling this before the weekend.

See you all soon!

Sponsorship Opportunities

Posted by Milton Keynes Bolts at Jan 29, 2016 4:12PM PST ( 0 Comments )

We are currently working hard on firming up the shirt designs and are looking to add additional sponsors.

Although we are looking to keep the shirts as crisp as possible, we are also looking to build a little bit of a buffer in the bank to cover any shortfall, equipment that we may need and the long list of startup costs.

We have a couple of options still available, including short cover sponsorship and main shirt sponsorship, all at very affordable prices.

All sponsors will also receive regular social media mentions and website exposure.

If you own your own business or know of anyone that wants some exposure please send an email to Andy.cs@mkbolts.co.uk
