Just a short note to keep you all in the loop as to what is going on currently. We have started receiving mails with personal details and making contact with prospective new members of the new club.

We have been trying to keep the details confidential until we have it confirmed from MKIHA and EIHA however as a committee we have agreed there is no harm sharing some further information with you all.

Therefore we are pleased to announce our new club name, our draft colour scheme and our new website.

Our club name will be Milton Keynes Bolts, it follows the naming convention for most rec clubs in Milton Keynes stemming from MK Lightning as the senior body. The club will play in the colours of Blue and Yellow and several different jersey designs are being drafted to the committee at present and once agreed we will share them with you.

We now have a website which will allow us to publish information through it and once players have submitted details, been accepted, and paid their membership fee, they will be added to the roster on the site. Those who are not registered will still be able to follow the public side of the website.

On our website you will see our new logo and once Jersey designs are approved by the committee they will be shared there.

We still need players to send their details through to make this a reality and please see Mark’s post for more information.

Welcome to the website of Milton Keynes Bolts Ice Hockey Club, the newest team in Milton Keynes!

The Milton Keynes Bolts Ice Hockey Club offer the opportunity for aspiring hockey players of all abilities and experience to play competitively with a team.

Regular training provides players with the coaching and skills to develop themselves as well as keeping fit and best of all, it’s fun!

We are based out of The Arena – Planet Ice, Milton keynes, a 2,300 seater state of the art ice rink, that has undergone a complete redevelopment very recently, making it one of the nicest rinks in the country.

We will play challenge games, charity games and tornamments throughout the year both at home and away venues. Allthough we always aim to put out a competitive team, we do have a vast scale of ability within the team so can pretty much line up with any rec team in the country. Supporters or those interested in joining the club are welcome to come and watch free of charge.

Membership is open to players over the age of 18, however we are currently operating a waiting list system. As we are a members only club only full members are able to attend training sessions but we do offer ‘drop-in’ spots for development players as we are fully committed to the development of recreational players. All the club require is that players have mastered the basics at the Learn to Play sessions. Any players interested in coming along must contact the MK Bolts in advance.
